GoodSync Enterprise offers a unique, next-generation synchronization and backup solution that is entirely file-based. It enables you to synchronize and backup employee folders and files to a USB disk, a network drive or even a remote server accessible via the Internet. It simplifies the traditional, cumbersome data backup and restore process by allowing you to pick and choose which files and folders to synchronize or backup.

You no longer have to rely on the cumbersome backup of entire hard drives and GBs of data to tapes and platters, which is very expensive. With GoodSync Enterprise, you can quickly implement a full-featured, affordable synchronization and backup solution for your company.

Automatic, Intelligent File Synchronization and Backup
• True bi-directional synchronization - Files are copied in two directions (between source and target), keeping the two locations completely in sync with each other, and preventing data loss.
• One-way synchronization for backups - Provides a reliable backup solution that is convenient and easy to setup.
• Current and accurate data always available to employees - Ensures working files are always current for all employees. With GoodSync Enterprise you can set it up to automatically sync on logon and logoff, or, you can set up your employee files to be locally available on every computer to always be current on a centralized company server.
• Automatic change detection and conflict resolution - GoodSync Enterprise automatically detects and synchronizes creation, deletion, and all other changes in folders, subfolders, and files. For real time monitoring, it automatically displays all changes, conflicts, and other actions. Automated resolution of conflicts is also available.
• Fast and less resource intensive - Performs much faster than other synchronization programs and takes less memory. To demonstrate, GoodSync Enterprise can analyze a job with 1M files and folders on each side in less than 10 minutes on only 500 Mb of memory. The reasons are three-fold:
• File-based approach allows you to select only the files and folders you want to be synchronized or backed up.
• You can synchronize directly to disk, which is much faster than the traditional tape approach.
• The up-front analysis detects and synchronizes only those files that have actually changed, which take less memory to process.
• Complete control over the files you sync or backup - Eliminates the need to store superfluous data like temp files, etc. Selective file synchronization allows you to easily apply filters to include or exclude files from synchronization based on name pattern, size, and modification time.
• Simple user interface - Provides convenient monitoring of job status and makes visual comparison of files very easy.
• Remote folder support - Automatically connects to remote folders if they lose connection during the analyze or sync process.
• Reliable, intelligent sync algorithm - Ensures correct propagation of changes and file deletions to synchronized locations even in chained synchronizations (when the contents of several folders in multiple locations or devices are synchronized in sequence).

• Job scheduling - Allows you to schedule sync jobs for convenience and efficiency. A sync job can be created and started using the GoodSync Enterprise command line. This allows you to easily call GoodSync Enterprise from batch files as well as any other program. GoodSync Enterprise can also be easily run from the Windows Task Scheduler.
• Automatically start analysis or sync on a specified event - GoodSync Enterprise gives you the ability to configure it to start based on a timer, pre-defined schedule, when a portable disk is detected, when GoodSync Enterprise starts or exits, etc.
• Unobtrusive usage and execution - Offers the ability to run in the 'background' on employee computers for unobtrusive operations. Administrators can easily create pre-programmed jobs so that GoodSync Enterprise is completely hidden from users.
• Detailed action logs, change reports and email capability - All changes are captured and reported. GoodSync Enterprise logs all file operations to a file, displays on screen, and provides a change report for convenient tracking and analysis. Once the sync session has been completed, it also provides the option to send email with synchronization session results.
• Ability to set up global sync jobs - You can easily add environment variables to folder paths to set up one set of jobs that would work for all employees. For example, you can set up a job that automatically syncs employee profiles to the backup server.
• Creation and use of job templates - Allows you to pre-program the most popular jobs using Job Templates. These templates make it faster for administrators to create new jobs and increase the ease of use for your employees if they decide to run their own sync jobs.
• Saving deleted files - If desired, GoodSync Enterprise will automatically save a copy of files that are about to be replaced when syncing. This setting allows you to always maintain the last two versions of any file.

• Can sync any two folders located on Windows Local Disk, Windows Network Server (SMB), WebDAV server, Secure FTP (SSH) server, or Amazon S3 server.
• Syncs with your Windows Mobile Phone and Pocket PC device (Windows CE) to desktop.
• Supports several ways to protect and encrypt files including SFTP, WebDAV over SSL. If you were to backup to Secure FTP or WebDAV + SSL online file systems, all files transferred and authentication passwords are encrypted en route.
