Microspot DWG Viewer is a product based on Microspot MacDraft Professional CAD software that enables AutoCAD DWG files produced on a PC to be opened and viewed on Apple Macintosh Computers running Mac OS X (v10.2.8 or later). During opening the user can choose the layout that will be opened or open the Model from a list of available layouts. The scale and units can also be chosen or DWG Viewer can do it automatically. The layers in the document can be shown or hidden or grayed and the document marked up by drawing elliptical markers in red and text can be added with a yellow background. The annotation is saved in an annotation layer. The resulting document can be saved as a PDF with the annotations and printed. Zoom tools and a hand tool allow you to enlarge any section of the drawing and scroll around. DWG Viewer also includes a spotlight plug-in for searching DWG files saved in formats previous to AC 1015.
Features
Navigate, mark-up and annotate The Tool palette offers a full complement of tools. Users can easily navigate through their AutoCAD files via the zoom and hand tools, red mark-up can be added using the elipse tool and annotation with yellow background can be inserted using the text tool.
Open layouts and the model space Our latest version of the DWG Viewer package includes better support for AutoCAD DWG/DXF files including support for the new AutoCAD 2007 format. The user has the ability to open not just the model space but also any layouts that the file contains.
Layer Control
Once your AutoCAD file has been opened in the DWG Viewer you will be able to see all the layers in the document via the Layers palette.
These layers can the be hidden or grayed giving you full control over exactly what you want to see and what you don't. The palette also includes an object count for each of the layers
A layer is automatically created and added to the Layers palette for your markup and annotations.
I've viewed, marked-up and annotated, what now? So you've finished adding your mark-up and annotation, the next thing you may want to do is send the file to that important client right? You have two options at this stage, you can either save the file as a pdf or you can print the file. It's that simple, and best of all you don't need to purchase any high cost CAD software to do it!
